Itinerary:
Day 1 – Welcome to Santa Cruz de Tenerife where a world of wonder awaits as you step on board Scenic Eclipse. Raise your glass to toast to the start of your luxurious cruise. Please book flights to arrive by 12pm at Tenerife North Airport

Day 2 -Funchal
With craggy cliffs rising steeply from the sea, the Portugese island of Madeira sits in the Atlantic Ocean at the top of an extinct underwater volcano. The capital Funchal is nestled in a great natural amphitheatre, facing the Atlantic with a backdrop of dramatic mountains. Admire the beauty of this spectacular harbour as Scenic Eclipse cruises into port. Enjoy time at leisure this evening to stroll the elegant streets of Funchal.
Freechoice – Discover the history of the city dating back five centuries or explore the Botanical Gardens before taking a ride in a traditional sledge back to the waterfront. Alternatively tour the island and visit a sugarcane factory.

Day 3 -At sea
Relax and enjoy the amazing facilities of your floating resort and perhaps take a dip in the Scandinavian-inspired spa pools. Your palate will be delighted as you explore the extensive range of dining options or create your own masterpiece in Scenic Epicure.

Day 4 -Safi
Appreciate an intriguing insight into the daily life of a Moroccan city in the port of Safi today with free time to wander the Medina at leisure.
Freechoice -Discover the alleys and walkways of the fortified Medina, its souk and the pottery works, or visit Essaouira and its World Heritage-listed Medina before meeting the workers at a nearby Argan Oil collective.
Enrich-Immerse yourself tonight in Moroccan culture with belly dancing performances accompanied by singers, drums, Henna painting and a traditional tea ceremony.

Day 5 -Casablanca
Be swept away by the nostalgia and romance of this former pirate’s lair, now considered Morocco’s most modern metropolis, and discover this city of contrasts.
Freechoice – Explore the heart and soul of Casablanca including the imposing Hassan II Mosque or visit the nearby capital Rabat including the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Or choose to delve into Casablanca’s Jewish Heritage including the synagogue.

Day 6 -Gibraltar

Day 7 -Cartagena
Inhabited for over two millennia, Spain’s port city of Cartagena with its stunning natural harbour is also an archaeological marvel. Helicopter excursions are available^.
Freechoice -Discover the magnificent Roman Amphitheatre and Underwater Archaeological Museum or visit nearby Murcia, founded by the Moors in the 1st century. Alternatively uncover the rich mining history at La Unión open-air museum or take a guided cycle tour of the city.

Day 8 -Palma de Mallorca

Discovery Excursions:
Discovery excursions including but not limited to zodiac, kayak, e-bikes, snorkelling and snow shoeing are subject to regulatory approval and prevailing weather, marine and ice conditions. Discovery excursions will be booked while on Your Cruise with Your Discovery Team Leader (unless otherwise stated) and are subject to availability, seasonal and operational factors. Some activities require a minimum and maximum number of participants to operate.
To partake in discovery excursions requires a reasonable level of mobility. Zodiac excursions require guests to embark/disembark into an inflatable craft. While this is not demanding for guests in good health and who are physically fit, it may prove challenging to those with physical limitations.
Helicopter, Submarine and Scuba Diving Excursions
Helicopter, submarine and scuba diving are subject to regulatory approval and prevailing weather, marine and ice conditions. These excursions are an additional expense. The menu of helicopter, submarine and scuba excursions and relevant prices for Your Cruise will be available no less than 3 months prior to cruise departure. These excursions CAN ONLY be booked while on your Cruise with Your Discovery Team Leader (unless otherwise stated) and are subject to availability, seasonal and operational factors.
