Day 1 – Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and assisted with your transfer to your hotel. Check in at your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2 – Cape Town
13h30 – Afternoon collection from the hotel for a scheduled City Tour – a geographical and cultural extravaganza showing you Cape Town from its historical beginnings to modern buildings and malls. The tour ends with a visit to Table Mountain (Weather permitting; cable car fee not included). Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner under your own arrangements.

Day 3 – Cape Town – Atlantic Seaboard
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay (optional boat trip to Seal Island – for own account). Continue via Chapmans Peak to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. We go on to historic Simons Town – a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. End the day with a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 4 – Cape Town – Cape Winelands
Wind your way to the heart of the Cape Winelands through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch Homesteads.

Day 5 – Cape Town – Oudtshoorn
Depart Cape Town and travel along Route 62 to Barrydale for lunch (not included in cost). Continue to Oudtshoorn – the ‘feather capital’ of the world. Visit a working ostrich farm for a guided tour. Check into your  accommodation in the late afternoon before enjoying dinner.

Day 6 – Oudtshoorn – Plettenberg Bay
Enjoy a morning tour of the Cango Caves – one of the natural wonders of the world. Continue to the lagoon side town of Knysna – the gem of the Garden Route. Enjoy some time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront before proceeding to The Crags near Plettenberg Bay. Embark on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River before arriving at your accommodation where you shall spend the following two nights. Freshen up before dinner at the lodge.

Day 7 – Plettenberg Bay
After breakfast visit Birds of Eden – the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Proceed to Bramon Wine Estate for a tasting followed by lunch (for own account). Optional: Marine Encounter boat trip (weather and time permitting; additional charge) before returning to the lodge for the remainder of the afternoon at leisure before dinner.

Day 8 – Plettenberg Bay – Port Elizabeth
After breakfast and check-out formalities, journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park – ‘garden of the Garden Route’. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge offering incredible views. Arrive in Port Elizabeth at approximately 18h00 wi th drop-off at the Hotel. Dinner is under your own arrangements.

Day 9 – Port Elizabeth – Johannesburg
This morning you shall be transferred to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, the City of Gold. Upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, transfer to your hotel and later embark on a scheduled afternoon Johannesburg City Tour – a booming and happening city. Return to your Hotel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 10 – Johannesburg – Soweto
Today you will visit the townships of Soweto followed by an afternoon of exploring the exhibit at the Apartheid Museum. Lunch today will be enjoyed at a local tavern in Soweto. Return to the hotel in the early evening with dinner under your own arrangements.

Day 11 – Johannesburg – Kruger National Park
Depart Johannesburg and travel to the ‘Land of the Rising Sun – Mpumalanga – via the magnificent Panorama Route. From many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the 33km long gorge, which starts at ‘’Bourke’s Luck Portholes’’ and ends at the ‘’Three Rondavels’’. Time and weather permitting, stop at God’s Window. Late afternoon arrival at your hotel. Check in and freshen up before dinner.

Day 12 – Kruger National Park – Hoedspruit
After breakfast and check-out formalities, you will be transferred to your lodge located in a private reserve adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park for an African Safari experience. Morning and evening game tracking drives in 4×4 vehicles, allows you to be in close contact with South Africa’s extensive wildlife.

Day 13 – Hoedspruit
Enjoy a full day of relaxation, combined with the excitement of a memorable safari experience with the scheduled game viewing activities and lodge facilities.

Day 14 – Hoedspruit – Johannesburg
Time permitting; embark on your final early morning game viewing activity before returning to camp for breakfast followed by check-out formalities. You shall be collected for your transfer to Hoedspruit OR Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport where the tour ends.

Optional Tour Visa Requirements:  Canadian Passport Holders should have valid passports beyond 6 months of departure date from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana with 2 completely blank or empty passport pages for Customs & Immigration use for each country. For Zimbabwe, a visitor visa is required, which can be obtained through the Zimbabwe Consulate in Ottawa or at the Victoria Falls Airport upon arrival for a fee of USD $75.00 per person paid in cash in new USD bills or apply for the UNI-VISA which allows multiple entry for Zimbabwe and Zambia from USD $50.00 per person paid in cash; (this is the best option). After a nice visit to Victoria Falls, transfer by road across the border at Kasane on a short, 100km drive into Botswana to Chobe National Park. Here you’ll enter a world of elephants, where some of Africa’s biggest herds are found. From your comfortable lodge, enjoy games drives in open safari vehicles or boat rides following African animals as they drink from the Chobe River, hunt for prey through the bush or just lounge in the shade of the Acacia trees.

DAY 5 Victoria Falls – Johannesburg (B) Depart from Chobe, returning to the Victoria Falls airport in time for a morning return flight to Johannesburg (flight included).
