    Classic Rhine River Cruise

    From $4099 $730 taxes

Weaving through the centre of continental Europe, the Rhine gives access to a flurry of enriching destinations, linking world-renowned cities with captivating natural wonders. The Classic Rhine river cruise explores this natural passageway, transporting you from Amsterdam to Frankfurt over eight unforgettable days.

Your journey starts in Amsterdam, where you can take a guided tour of the famous Rijksmuseum – with its exquisite collection of Old Masters – or see the sights like a local on an EmeraldACTIVE cycling tour, encompassing Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, Dam Square, and Rembrandt House.

Travelling East, visit Xanten, where you can pay homage to the Roman Archaeological Park on an EmeraldPLUS excursion. Built around 98AD, this fascinating heritage site boasts the best-preserved Romanesque structures in northern Europe. From Xanten, Andernach beckons, offering yet more cultural immersion at the prestigious Geysir Museum.

Entering the flow of the charming Moselle, you will visit the beautiful medieval town of Cochem, whose quaint cobblestone streets lie in the shadow of the mighty Reichsburg Castle, where you will take a guided tour.

From Cochem, we travel to Bernkastel, where an EmeraldPLUS excursion allows you to sample the region’s delicious sparkling Riesling. The final leg takes you through the Moselle Valley to Mainz, for your final transfer to Frankfurt.
