Itinerary

Day 1 – Hometown – Beijing
Your adventure will begin with a flight from your hometown to Beijing by Air China. Your Canadian tour escort is from Vancouver.

Day 2 – Arriving Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, be greeted by local guide and transferred to hotel.

Day 3 – Beijing
Explore the heart of Beijing from Tian’anmen Square. Visit the Forbidden City, and take a tour around the Summer Palace. This evening, enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner and a bus tour to experience Beijing by Night (Donghua Gate Food Fair).  (B / L / SD)

Day 4 – Beijing
Enjoy a walk along the ramparts of the Great Wall (Juyong Pass). Take a look at 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium (The Bird’s Nest & The Water Cube). Tonight, enjoy the Beijing Acrobatic Show.  (B / L / D)

Day 5 – Beijing
Start the day with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Heaven and visit to the lovely Pandas at the Beijing Zoo. Then take a Rickshaw Tour around the ancient alleyways of Beijing’s Hutong – one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. Visiting a family in one of the “Quadrangles”. A bus tour to experience Beijing by Night (Donghua Gate Food Fair) will be arranged (B / L / D)

Day 6 – Beijing / Yichang ~ Yangtze Cruise
Free in the morning, after lunch, take the Air China flight fly to Yichang. After dinner, board the deluxe cruise ship MVPresident No.7/8 to catch every splendid and amazing moment.  (B / L / D)

Day 7 – Yangtze River Cruise
Take a shore excursion at Sandouping takes you to “Three Gorges Dam”, the biggest hydroelectric dam in the world. Return to the ship and sail through the Three Gorges Dam Shiplocks and the first gorge – Xiling Gorge, the longest and the most hazardous one in the famous “Three Gorges”. Day 8 – Yangtze River Cruise
Begin your day with an excursion to Shennong Stream, which takes you almost 20 miles of cascading waterfalls, steep cliffs, karst caves, three-colored springs. Return to the cruise and set sail through the second gorge – Wu Gorge, known for its odd, misty rock formations and its backdrop of soaring mountains. Later in the afternoon, pass the third gorge – Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the most dramatic of the Three Gorges with ancient relics scattered along its steep cliffs.  ( B / L / D )

Day 9 – Yangtze River Cruise
After breakfast, take a shore excursion to visit the Shibaozhai Temple, a gem of Chinese Architecture located in Zhong County, at the south bank of the Yangtze River. Tonight, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Banquet and the Cruise Passengers & Crew Talent Show.   ( B / L / SD )

Day 10 – Arrive Chongqing
After breakfast, disembark the cruise at Chongqing and will visit People’s Square and People’s Hall the city center. In the afternoon you may choose an Optional tour to the famous Dazu Rock Carvings listed in the World Heritage by UNESCO.  (B / L / D)

Day 11 – Chonqing / Xian

Day 12 – Xian

Day 13 – Xian / Lhasa
Today you will begin the adventure to Tibetan Plateau. Take a flight to Lhasa. You’ll be treated to spectacular views of 22,000-foot Himalayan peaks.  After arriving in Lhasa, have a relaxing evening to let your body adjust to being 12,000 feet above sea level.  (B / L / D)

Day 14 – Lhasa

Day 15 Lhasa ~ Gyantse ~ Xigaze

Day 16 – Xigaze – Lhasa
The highlight of your full day exploration of Xigaze will begin a tour to Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the most exquisite in Tibet and the former seat of the Panchen Lama. Fabulous murals grace the inner walls of this elaborate temple complex – but the focal point is an enormous bronze Buddha, the largest in Tibet, which stands 86 feet high and contains over 600 pounds of pure gold.   (B / L / D)

Day 17 – Lhasa

Day 18 – Lhasa / Chengdu

Day 19 – Chengdu / Shanghai

Day 20 – Shanghai
