Itinerary
Day 01 (Sat) Vancouver – Taipei
Depart Canada for Taipei on China Airlines.
Day 02 (Sun) Taipei – Bangkok
Connect flight to Bangkok. Arrival in Bangkok, meet and transfer to the hotel.
Free for leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight at the Tawana Hotel or similar.
Day 03 (Mon) Bangkok – River Kwai (B/L)
Early pick up from the hotel and drive to Damnoen Saduak to visit the famous floating market. Continue to Kanchanaburi province, approx. 129 KM west of Bangkok. Visit the Bridge over the River Kwai constructed in 1942 during WWII. Then proceed to Donrak War Cemetary where the remains of 6982 POWs died during the construction of the Death Railway are buried. Then board on the famous “Death Railway” over wooden viaduct passing Krasae Cave and ride along the exciting route overlooking the Kwai Noi River. Overnight at the Duenshine Resort Kanchanaburi (Raft room).
Day 04 (Tue) Kanchanaburi – Kamphaengpet (B/L)
Breakfast at the Resort and drive to Suphanburi to visit Wat Pa Lae Lai before going to a hundred years old Sam Chuk riverside market. Continue to Uthai Uthai and visit Wat Thasung with its crystal hall. Then drive to Kamphangphet province to visit Kamphaengpet Historical Park. Overnight at the Chakungrao Riverview (superior room).
Day 05 (Wed) Kamphaengpet – Chiang Mai (B/L)
After breakfast, depart for Sukhothai Province. Visit the magnificent Historical Park, then drive to visit some historical sites outside the old city wall including the temple Wat Si Chum with a huge monumental Buddha image. Overnight at the Park Hotel Chiang Mai (superior room).
Day 06 (Thu) Elephant Camp – San Kamphaeng (B/L)
After breakfast, visit an elephant camp in Mae Sa Valley where elephants were trained for timber work in the past. Then visit an orchid farm and a village of Hmong hill tribe whose culture bases on desire of independence. Afternoon visit handicraft village in San Kamphaneng district which is famous for silk umbrella, silk and more. Overnight at the Park Hotel Chiang Mai (superior room).
Day 07 (Fri) Doi Suthep Hill – Phitsanuloke (B/L)
After breakfast, visit the most famous and respected temple in Chiang Mai, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Further to Lampang to visit a Burmese style temple, Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao before driving to Phitsanulok province. Overnight at the Topland Hotel and Convention (superior room).
Day 08 (Sat) Phitsanuloke – Ayuthaya – Bangkok (B/L)
Morning visit Wat Mahathat which houses Thailand’s most beautiful image. Then continue to Loburi, visit Kala Temple, Hindu Shrine. Afternoon drive to Ayutthaya to visit the Unesco World Heritage Historical sites including Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. Proceed to Bangkok and overnight at the Tawana Hotel.
Day 09 (Sun) Bangkok – Taipei (B)
Free for leisure until transfer to the airport for the flight to Taipei. Arrival in Taipei, meet and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the Golden China Hotel or similar.
Day 10 (Mon) Taipei (B)
After breakfast, proceed to Keelung to visit Chung Ching Park. Then continue to Yehliu famed for its numerous rock formations resembling a Queen’s head, Fairy Shoe and Lover’s Rock. Return back to Taipei with an afternoon City tour to visit C.K.S. Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum, Martyr’s Shrine and Taipei Handicraft Centre.
Day 11 (Tue) Taipei – Sun Moon Lake (B)
Morning visit Puli Town, the cultural and artistic heaven. Afternoon proceed to the Sun Moon Lake, visiting Wen Wu Temple Tehua Village, Tse- En Pagoda and Holy Monk Shrine. Overnight at the Del Lago Sun Moon Lake or similar.
Day 12 (Wed) Sun Moon Lake – Taipei (B)
Proceed to Lukang, is known as a centre of arts and handicrafts. Afternoon return back to Taipei. Overnight at the Golden China Hotel or similar.
Day 13 (Thu) Taipei – Vancouver (B)
Free for leisure. Finish your trip with a last minute shopping in the city of Taipei until transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.
