Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Vancouver / Shanghai
Begin your adventure with a flight to Shanghai by China Eastern Airlines. Your Canadian tour escort is from Vancouver (tour escorted from Vancouver only if there are a minimum of 16 passengers).
Day 2 – Arriving Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai, China’s most populous city and seaport. You will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. You may relax at the hotel or explore Shanghai on your own. (D)

Day 3 - Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and People’s Square. You will be amazed by the beauty of the historical architecture while walking along the “Bund”. Enjoy a Mongolian BBQ Lunch. Then, tour Yuyuan Bazaar, Pudong Development Zone, and take a close look at the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Also, visit the famous Nanjing Road and a tea house. For dinner, enjoy the Shanghai Steamed Buns - the famous local snack. Tonight, Huangpu River Night Cruise could be arranged as an optional tour. (B/SL/D)
Day 4 – Shanghai ~ Zhujiajiao (Water Village) ~ Suzhou
Today, you’ll visit the Xintiandi - replica of Old Shanghai. Afterwards, take an excursion to Zhujiajiao (Water Village) before driving to Suzhou. China Welcome Dinner at night. (B/L/SD)

Day 5 - Suzhou

Day 6- Suzhou ~ Shanghai / Wuhan ~ Yichang ~ Yangtze River Cruise

Day 7 - Yangtze River Cruise
A shore excursion at Sandouping takes you to “Three Gorges Dam”, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. Continue to sail through the Three Gorges Dam Shiplocks, the first gorge –Xiling Gorge, the longest and historically the most hazardous one in the famous “Three Gorges”. Day 8 - Yangtze River Cruise
Take an excursion to Shennong Stream to see cascading waterfalls, steep cliffs, karst caves, and three-coloured springs. Continue sailing through Wu Gorge -odd, misty rock formations and backdrop of soaring mountains; and the shortest but most dramatic Qutang Gorge -with ancient relics scattered along its steep cliffs. Day 9 - Yangtze River Cruise
In the morning, after arriving in Fengdu, a shore excursion to the “Ghost City” – known for its statures of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill. Tonight’s entertainment includes the Captain’s Farewell Banquet. (B/L/SD)
Day 10 - Chongqing / Xi’an
After breakfast, disembark the cruise at Chongqing and fly to Xi’an. Visit the historic Shanxi Provincial Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda and a jade workshop. Tonight enjoy the well-known Xi’an Special Dumpling Banquet as you watch the colourful Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/SD)

Day 11 - Xi’an
Another unforgettable full day tour is visiting the excavation of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Reproduction Factory on the way. Day 12 - Xi’an / Beijing
After a flight to Beijing, take a Rickshaw Tour around the ancient alleyways of Hutong -one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. You can visit a family in one of the “Quadrangles”. Evening entertainment includes a dazzling Beijing Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)

Day 13 - Beijing
Explore the heart of Beijing from Tian’anmen Square -the largest public square in the world; Forbidden City -the largest existing ancient architectural complex in China; Summer Palace -an enchanting panorama of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions. Then, visit a pearl workshop. A bus tour to experience Beijing by Night (Donghua Gate Food Fair) will be arranged. (B/L/D)
Day 14 - Beijing
Have an inspiring day at the Great Wall (Juyong Pass). Enjoy your time walking along its ramparts and absorb the breathtaking views. Visit a cloisonné factory on the way to the Great Wall. Take a close look at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium (the Bird’s Nest & the Water Cube). Meet the lovely Giant Pandas at the Beijing Zoo. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Peking Duck Dinner. (B/L/SD)
Day 15 - Beijing (Free Day)
Enjoy a free day in this beautiful city. Lunch and dinner will be by your own arrangement. (B)
Day 16 - Beijing / Vancouver (via Shanghai)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to depart for Canada, and arrive home on the same day. (B)
